April Technique Classes

We love technique classes here at Firefly Fibers!  The thought of a technique class might make you yawn, but these classes provide skills that are useful for a variety of knitting projects... and who doesn't want to their knitting to be just a little easier?

Upcoming technique classes:

We have a Two-at-a-Time class on Tuesday, April 10th (6-8 PM).  This class introduces you to the Two-at-a-Time technique, including the cast on, for knitting items that come in pairs like mittens, fingerless mitts, sleeves and more!  As an added bonus, you will be learning this technique on 2 circular needles - this means you can also use what you learn in class on smaller circumference projects like hats that are knit one-at-a-time and without using double-points!

Do you feel like you are reading a foreign language when you read patterns? On Saturday, April 14th (1-3 PM) we will help you understand the knitting abbreviations, lingo, and hieroglyphics the pattern writers/designers use.  We will cover the basics of understanding both written and charted patterns, from beginning to end, and provide you with helpful tips for selecting quality patterns.
